Participating in Jumpstart's Read For The Record!
On October 8, 2009, Stage Door Preschool participated in Jumpstart's Read For The Record event! All over the world, children listened to "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", by Eric Carle! The goal was to break a world record for a shared reading experience - How fun!

SPRING has arrived at Stage Door Preschool!
We planted flowers in our garden this week!

At Stage Door Preschool, performing is fun!
We made Native American shirts, learning how they told stories with pictures. We went to a nursing facility to perform for the residents - we sang Thanksgiving songs and gave out handmade cards!
The residents loved the show and served cookies!
Thanksgiving is also a learning time at our school.
We learned the history of the very first Thanksgiving.
The children also performed
for their parents and grandparents,
re-telling the Thanksgiving story and how the very first Thanksgiving happened.
We learned how hard life was for the pilgrims.
We collected, sorted, and graphed food donations and gave it all to All Faith's Food Bank.

Welcome to Stage Door's 2nd year -- and we are off to a great start! Our first week of school was very successful. We have been learning about our school, talking about the rules and getting to know each other. A big thank you to all of our families for your support - it is wonderful to have you all join our Stage Door family!
